Documents viewer

Viewer of AccelClip can display both clips and files and supports text, PDF, graphics, HTML and others formats.

Graphics viewer

To view some clip or text, mark it and wait a moment, while it appear in the AccelClip viewer. Viewer frame contains three elements: toolbar at the top, viewing area and status bar.

All images-related commands are available on editor toolbar and in the Image menu.

Selection

To select any part of image click over the first corner and drag mouse to opposite one. Selected area will be boarded with running black-white dashes. If there is some selection, all commands (e.g. copy, delete, etc.) applying to this selection, otherwise - to whole image. To remove selection click with left button over external to selection point. To select whole image press Ctrl+A or use Edit menu.

Pen drawing

To draw on the image canvas with a pen click over corresponding button (see figure). To draw, click with left button and drag. If there is some selection, drawing is possible only inside selected area. To revoke changes select Undo from Edit menu. AccelClip can paint with square or round pen of a variable size.

Fill mode

To use this mode, select foreground color and click over internal point of the area, which you wish to fill. This area must contain pixels of equal color. If there is selection, it will be filled only selected area. To change color tolerance select Image - Fill Tolerance command.

Color picker

Color picker is a tool that helps you select a color by example. Click over pixel, you wish to get color. Default color picker changes foreground color, if you need to pick background color - press Ctrl. To pick an average color click with mouse on the first corner of are and drag to opposite corner. AccelClip will calculate the average color of selected area.

Zoom mode

You can freely zoom image using zoom mode. To zoom with a window, point to first corner and drag to another. To Zoom In, click over any point, to Zoom Out click with pressed Ctrl. Also, you can use Auto Zooming feature. In the last case, AccelClip automatically zooms image to fit it into the editor frame.

Other features

AccelClip can convert images from one format to another. To perform such conversion, select Clip - Save as menu and select appropriate format from file type box.

Image size may be changed, either with scaling of image or with reposition of image: command Resize Image from Image menu.

In image editor you can drag selected fragments to collections (and insert as clips) or to any Windows applications.

Text viewer

AccelClip text viewer supports Rich Text Format clips and files, MS Word and Excel documents (depending on installed converters). Features of text editor described below. Font and paragraph formatting options applicable to formatted texts only.

Searching for text

To search some text fragment in viewing file or clip select Text - Search for text menu and in the displayed Search Box type the text you wish to locate.

Replacing of text

Text editor can automatically search for text fragments and replace it for a new ones. This operation may be performed using Text - Replace Text command, in the displayed dialog you will be prompted enter searching and replacing text, you specify some additional options: search for whole words only and perform case sensitive search.

Changing the case of text

To change case of text select some text and choose Change Case from Text menu. You will be prompted for way how you wish to change case.

Text statistics

To calculate and display text statistics use Text statistics command from Text menu. AccelClip calculates count of text lines, characters with and without spaces, words and sentences count.

Font name, size and style

To change style of font select text and choose font name from the drop down list on the toolbar. By the same way you can change font size. There are special buttons that controls text outline: Bold, Italic, Underline. To change style of typing text adjust described controls when there are no any selection.

Paragraph formatting

In AccelClip formatted text editor you can change text alignment and use text bulletin option. Select some text and use corresponding buttons on text editor toolbar.

Macros

In AccelClip you can use macros for text clips. Macro is a special mark in text clip (bounded with ##), which will be substituted by some text, when you will use this clip.
