AccelMan is a multi-window file manager incorporating a file viewer, GUI console, media player, and bookmarks manager. In AccelMan you are not restricted to an obsolete dual-pane file manager interface – you can open as many managers as you wish and freely organize your environment on the AccelMan desktop. Graphics viewer

Going way beyond the functionality of Windows Explorer, AccelMan’s graphics viewer supports more than 30 formats and provides you with basic functions for image editing: brush, eraser, color picker, filler, etc. Via the Windows clipboard, you can copy/paste any part of any image into your document. There is a full-screen slide show and you can install any image as your desktop wallpaper directly from AccelMan.

Windows Explorer replacement

AccelMan is tightly integrated with the Windows Shell. You can use shell context menus, create and edit all files associations, setup wallpaper for the desktop, use and manage the Send-To menu (extended with recently used folders), create shortcuts, and work with files on the network. With its innovative floating trash bin you can delete files not only from AccelMan, but also from any shell dialogs, Explorer windows or other applications.

TrueType fonts viewer

Another original feature of AccelMan is the TrueType fonts viewer. You can easily install a TTF font without going via the Control Panel. This unique feature is absent in other popular managers (like Total Commander, PowerDesk or Frigate).

JPEG, TIFF, GIF, PNG and other images viewer

The AccelMan viewer can display JPEG, TIFF, PNG, GIF, TGA, Photoshop PSD, PaintShopPro PSP and other images. You can view images sequentially or as a slide show. Any supported image may be converted into TIFF, PNG, JPEG, GIF and BMP formats. And remember, the graphics viewer has basic editor functions and supports clipboard operations (cut, copy and paste). AccelMan also integrates the EXIF information fields from your JPEG photographs.

Files compression and extraction

AccelMan handles archives of 15+ formats like usual folders. You can add, extract, view or play files directly from archive. You can edit files right in the archive, using internal or external editor with automatic recompression after save. There is an option to copy files from one archive to another, conversion and commenting features. Win32 self-extractable archives are supported too.

Play-list manager

AccelMan has a built-in multimedia player with a rich set of tools for play-list management. Thanks to a seamless integration with the file manager the process of play-list creation is simple and straightforward. You can play, preview, insert and sort items in the play-list, automatically remove dead items, reorder tracks and even generate HTML play-lists with actual links to your music and video. Play-lists (*.pls, *.m3u) are compatible with WinAmp, Windows Media player, Light Alloy and others popular players.

Integrated multimedia player

The fully integrated multimedia player supports more than 30 multimedia formats. Through the Windows MCI interface you can extend the functionality of AccelMan and play other audio and video files.

Supported multimedia formats: mp2, mp3, vqf, wav, avi, mid, pls, m3u, mod, s3m, xm, it, stm, nst, ult, 669, wow, mtm, med, far, mdl, ams, dsm, amf, okt, dmf, ptm, mdz, s3z, xmz, itz, mpz, mez, rmi, all other formats using the MCI interface.

Powerful file splitter

Accelman's File splitter/combiner can work in two modes: binary or safe mode. In safe mode, AccelMan writes special information to file fragments, which guarantees correct combining of split files. Binary splitting may be useful when you transfer files to a computer where AccelMan is not installed.

Hexadecimal editor

The Hexadecimal editor of AccelMan helps you edit files of any type. It displays byte offset and hexadecimal codes for each byte of a file. There are search and replace tools and, of course, support for the Windows clipboard.

PDF, MS Office documents manager

AccelMan can display PDF, MS Office, RTF and a lot of others files. If you have installed MS Office on your computer the AccelMan viewer is able to display MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point documents. AccelMan uses the Acrobat reader control to view PDF files.

Effective search

With AccelMan you can track down files and text, using as many search criteria as you want, including search area, file size, attributes and date of modification or creation. All results are grouped and permanently stored in a Search Results tree. You can work with search results as with files in the regular file manager. You can save search criteria for future re-use.

Modern and flexible interface

Any element of the AccelMan explorer replacement interface may be customized. You can adjust the main window layout, toolbars, main and context menus, status line and keyboard shortcuts for all AccelMan commands. Layouts for the AccelMan window (interface schemes) may be stored in a file. The application installs with 12 predefined schemes: 2x Explorer, Default, DOS Navigator, Film strip, Image Browser, Norton Commander, Play-list builder, Professional file manager, Simple, Simple Explorer, Universal, Universal Explorer.

AccelMan’s interface is multilingual and has now been translated into English, Chinese, Croatian, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Portuguese Brazil, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Ukrainian.

Improved navigation system

The AccelMan navigation system includes bookmarks (with the bookmarks bar), history and navigation lists, search results tree, drive selection toolbars in every file manager, a greatly enhanced Send-to menu and much more.

Group file operations

With the AccelMan group file operations feature you can rename, move or copy a group of files applying some common rules to them. AccelMan controls filename duplication and provides you with a set of templates for name generation.

Bookmarks and other know-how

Bookmarks add powerful cataloguing functionality to Accelman’s toolkit. You can specify not only a shortcut to an object but also the action to be performed on selecting the bookmark: browse, explore, open, print, etc. There is a special tool for managing bookmarks and you can work with bookmarks directly on the toolbar.
