AccelClip handles all data as a clips. Clip is a fragment of text, graphics or other format data, stored in AccelClip. Clip may be created, moved, copied, saved to a file, viewed, edited, etc.
Collection is a group of clips. There are three kinds of collections: Windows Clipboard, Favorites and Trash.
All collections are managed by Clips manager. In the top part of this frame represented a tree of all available collections, in the second part (clips) - contents of selected one.
You can apply following operations to clips:
To copy any clip, mark it and select
Copy from Edit or context menu, or press Ctrl and double click over clip. This clip will be placed into clipboard.
To paste any clip, first mark it and select
Direct paste to paste fragment directly into application you work with.
To view or edit any clip, locate and mark it in the clips collection. If viewer automatic mode is turned off, select
View menu, otherwise selected object will be loaded into viewer right after selection. With AccelClip you can view and edit as plain and formatted text as graphics clips.
To move a clip into other position in currently active collection drag one into destination place.
To move a clip into another collection, select one and use
Clips - Copy to collection menu. In the shown box you can select destination collection. There is another way - drag clip to a collection label in the collections tree and wait a moment, while collection contents will be displayed. Then, drop clip into appropriate position. To copy
a clip use the same way as when moving, but press Ctrl key.
You can create new clips with four different ways:
To delete a clip, select it and use
Delete command of Edit menu. Deleting clip will be placed into Trash collection. If the clip is deleting from Trash, it will be erased permanently.
To export any clip, mark it and select
Export command from Clips menu. In the save dialog you can choose format to save (from list of supported formats).
AccelClip allows you print clips using registered windows application. Mark some clip and use
Print command from Clips menu.
The first clip in Windows Clipboard collection represents a current clipboard contents. When you reorder clips, the contents of clipboard is changing so the first fragment is always placed in the clipboard.
To change a clip properties, mark one and select
Properties command from Clips or context menu. In the shown dialog you can specify clip hot key and caption. Later you can paste clips using hot keys directly to active application.
