Files combining

Applicable to: Manager

In AccelMan you can combine previously split file or split some arbitrary files into one.

To combine some files mark it in File Manager and select Combine from Commands menu.

AccelMan supports two modes of file splitting/combining: binary and safe.

In the Binary mode source file splitting into binary fragments. There is no ability for checking of its correct order and integrity when combining.

In Safe mode AccelMan stories count, number, size and check sum inside of each fragment. This helps to handle fragments more reliable. So, it is impossible to mix up fragments or use broken one on combining.

Combine dialog contains following elements:

Operation: operation to do. Can be only Copy files (files are coping)
Destination: folder – acceptor for combined file. To change, use tree at the right
Source files: list of fragments to be combined. Use context menu to add or remove some files.
Destination folders: tree of folders to quick selection of destination for file operation. Click on arrow button to open destination folder in tree.
Overwrite mode. This field determines how AccelMan will process name conflicts. It may be one of following: Ask for overwrite (you will be asked for overwrite of existing files, if there are), Overwrite all existing files (overwrite files with no confirmation), Skip all existing files (update), Refresh old files only.
Check free space before coping: if checked a destination drive will be tested for enough free space.
Update source directory state info: if checked a directory state of source folder will be updated or stored

In binary combining, you can reorder fragments using arrows buttons at the right, in safe mode they are ordered automatically.

In safe combining, you can specify only one fragment and AccelMan locates others automatically.

If fragments are placed onto removable drives, please specify the first one, you will be prompted for other drives.

Press Ok to apply changes or Cancel to close dialog without action.
