Bookmarks

AccelMan can bookmark your files, folders and drives like any other objects. All bookmarks have hierarchical structure, bookmarks grouped into folders, folders may contain bookmarks and other folders.

All groups child to root placed onto Bookmarks Toolbar of Main Window. You can turn on/off this toolbar using View » Toolbars menu.

Bookmark has two properties: Screen Name and Reference to object.

Name of bookmark is a string, displaying in menu. Name may include any symbols, except double No. (##)
Reference to object is an absolute path (with drive letter) to bookmark object

Creating bookmarks

To create a bookmark drag target file to bookmarks toolbar, place over any group and wait for a moment, while a group menu will be expanded. That, position new bookmark onto appropriate place and drop.

Using bookmarks

To activate file object, referenced by bookmark, select bookmark from bookmarks toolbar menu (click on corresponding group button). Action of the bookmark depends on active frame type:

File Manager: in active File Manager will be located bookmark object. To create a new manager frame Ctrl and select bookmark
Viewer: if bookmark object is a file – it will be loaded into viewer, otherwise nothing happens
Player: if bookmark object is a multimedia track - it will be placed into play list and player starts playing. To add bookmark object into existing play list, preventing its clearance press Ctrl key

If bookmark is selected with pressed Shift - the corresponding object will be opened using application, associated in Windows with object file type.

Editing and deleting bookmarks

To edit properties of the bookmarks, open the last on Bookmarks toolbar and click over bookmark with right mouse button to call context menu (like in Start menu of the last versions of Windows). From context menu you can call properties box, rename, cut/copy/paste or delete selected bookmark. Also, AccelMan provides you with power tool of bookmarks edition: specialized Bookmarks Editor.
