ASCII TEXT EDITOR

To use ASCII editor mark a file you wish to view or edit and press F3 or F4 correspondingly or select Preview or Edit from File Menu. ASCII editor can display files of all formats, but if you open a binary file - you see only symbols that precede to first empty symbol (symbol with zero code). Please note, that in the last case you can damage a binary file, it is good idea to use Hexadecimal Editor instead.

On the figure above you find ASCII editor frame and corresponding toolbar with short description of basic buttons. To search and replace of text use Replace command either from toolbar or from Edit menu.

AccelMan viewer supports file manager commands, so you can copy, e-mail, Send To, etc. editing file directly from Viewer, using corresponding commands from main menu. If editing file was changed, you will be asked for saving results before processing.

Quick search

To quick search press Alt+Q or select Edit » Quick Search menu to display quick search box, where you can type first symbols for incremental search for the text. To close press Escape or Enter.

Code page selection

Default, AccelMan use Windows code page, but with recoding option you can view and edit files with other code pages. If opened file is unreadable, try to switch active code page using recoder control on the status bar of viewer (see figure above). Note that code page may be changed only when viewing file was not modified, or was saved.

Syntax Highlight

AccelMan supports syntax highlight for some file types. When you open a file, AccelMan analyze it format and use corresponding scheme. You can manually select or change highlight scheme using context menu or toolbar.

Text statistics

To calculate and display text statistics use Text statistics command from Preview menu. AccelMan calculates count of text lines, characters with and without spaces, words and sentences count.
