Documents Categories
ActualDoc supports documents categorizing, you may find categories on the bar at the left of main window. Documents category is like to files mask. When you select some category, ActualDoc filters Recent Documents according it mask.
Each category has following properties:
- Category name: a text string that identify a category
- Category icon: an icon associated with a category. You can assign any icons from *.ico, *.exe or *.dll files.
- Types list: list of documents types that are included into category. When you select some category, ActualDoc will display files of these types and hide all other ones.
To use categories, click on Categories section of ActualDoc bar.
To change properties of categories, add new ones or adjust they order, select Edit categories from Options menu.

In this box you can change order of categories, create a new one, adjust properties or delete some categories.
To open this dialog select Edit categories from Options menu.
Dialog contains following elements:
- List of categories: a list of registered in ActualDoc categories
- Add: press this button to add a new category
- Delete: press to delete selected category
- Properties: click this button to change properties of the selected category
- Move up / Move down: click to move selected category to the top / bottom of list
When you finish categories setup, click Close button to apply changes and close box

In this box you can adjust properties of ActualDoc category.
To call this box, select Edit categories from Options menu, select some category and press Properties.
Dialog contains following elements:
- Name and icon of the category: name and an image associated with category. Click on Select Icon to change image. You can assign any icons from *.ico, *.exe or *.dll files.
- Types list: list of types that will be included into the category. Check all types you wish to include into the editing category. If there are no some types in the list, press Add and specify some files mask (with optional * and ?).
Press Ok to apply changes, Cancel - to close box.
