Searching for documents and text
In ActualDoc you can search for documents by name or by containing text.
To start search, activate
Search Frame (using View menu) and specify search criteria:
- Text: a text string you wish to find in documents
- File name: a mask for file name. You can use optional template symbols * and ?.
- Case sensitive (text): ActualDoc will search for text of exact case
- Whole words only: search for text that satisfy to mask with whole words
- Search in network documents: if checked, ActualDoc will scan network documents too
- Search on removable media: if checked, ActualDoc will scan documents, places on removable media too (CD-ROM, floppy drives, ZIP drives, etc.)
- Through the all base: if checked, ActualDoc will process all documents, otherwise - only displaying ones. This options is actual when you are using some filtering.
To start search specify some criteria and press Start Search button. When the search will be finished, ActualDoc will display it results (symbol
in status line).
