Clips frame of AccelClip contains all clips and collections. In the top part (or left, depending on split style) you can see collections tree. Another part of the frame contains list of clips in selected collection. In the bottom of Clips frame a quick search field is situated.

Collection is a special AccelClip folder, containing fragments of text, graphic or other information. All collections are represented as a tree. Root collection is Windows Clipboard. There are some special collections:
Clips Favorites - this is a root folder for your own clips collections
Passwords - for secure passwords and other private information storage
Templates - for storage of documents templates and snippets
Cookies - a collection for short fragments (quotes, notes, ideas, etc.). You can use cookies in macros.
Trash - for deleted clips
You can see all clips from the selected collection in the list below.
Using clips
To paste any clip into some application (for example, into your text editor), start application and place cursor to the destination position. Than, press Ctrl + Shift + ` to activate AccelClip, select a collection and a clip and press Enter. Selected clip will be places into the cursor position in the active application and AccelClip will be minimized.

Extending clipboard
AccelClip extend clipboard capacity. Windows Clipboard collection contains 80 recently used clips, so you can easily paste any of these fragments as it is described above.
Editing clipboard contents
To change clipboard contents (e.g. to change text case), activate AccelClip pressing Ctrl + Shift + ` and mark the first clip of Windows Clipboard collection. With a small delay this clip appear in the viewer at left (on default AccelClip layout). Change text or image in the viewer and click Save on the viewer toolbar. Contents of Windows Clipboard will be changed.
Finding text clips
To find some text clip, type first letters of the text in the Quick search field. When you type, AccelClip will mark first clip, containing text fragment. If you wish to move the the next fragment, hit Enter. To stop search, press Escape.

Creating clips
There are several ways to create clips in AccelClip.
From the clipboard - AccelClip collects all fragments, placed into the clipboard in Windows Clipboard collection. You can move clips to another collections dragging and dropping that, or, using Clip - Copy to collection menu.
From the document - mark text or image in some application (e.g. text editor), drag and drop into the AccelClip(some applications might don't support drag and drop)
From the document on disk - activate files browser, mark some file to view the content in the viewer, select some fragment and drag-drop into the clips collection.
Creating password clip - to place something into the secure collection, use Add new password wizard (from Clip - Create New menu).
Creating empty clip - select New clip ... from Clip - Create New menu and type containing text in the viewer at left.

Exporting clipboard
To export clipboard fragment (like any other clip in AccelClip), mark it and select Clip - Save as... menu. In the save box, type the destination file name and click Ok.
To export whole collection, select Clips - Export - Export collection menu.
Coping a clip into clipboard
To copy some clip into the clipboard mark it and select Copy command from Edit or context menu, or press Ctrl and double click over clip
Viewing and editing clips
To view or edit any clip, locate and select it in the clips collection. If viewer automatic mode is turned off, select View menu, otherwise selected object will be loaded into viewer right after selection.
Moving or coping clips between collections
To move some clip into the other position within the active collection, drag clip and drop into the destination place. This does not work, when clips sorting is enabled.
To move a clip into another collection, mark it and select Clips - Copy to collection menu. In the shown box you can select destination collection.

There is another way - drag clip to a collection label in the collections tree and wait a moment, while collection contents will be displayed. Then, drop clip into appropriate position. To copy a clip use the same way as when moving, but press Ctrl key.
Sorting clips
To sort clips by date, text, caption or other parameter, select some item from View - Sort By menu. When sorting is turned off (View - Sort By - Do not sort is checked) you can reorder clips with drag and drop.

Merging clips
To merge several clips into one, mark all of them (pressing Ctrl or Shift and clicking all clips) and select Clip - Merge menu. AccelClip can merge text, formatted text and graphical clips only.
Deleting a clip
To delete a clip, mark that and use Delete command of Edit menu. AccelClip place all deleted clips into Trash collection. If you delete some clip from Trash collection, it is erasing permanently.
Printing a clip
AccelClip can print single or multiply clips using the registered windows application. To do this, mark some clips and select Print command from Clips menu.
Setting up a clip properties
To change the clip properties, mark it and select Properties command from the Clips or context menu. In the properties box you can setup the clip shortcut and the caption. You can paste clips using shortcuts directly from active application.
Setting up a collection properties
To change collection properties, mark any collection in the tree and select Clips - Properties menu. In the properties box you can specify collection shortcut, name, comments, options and other parameters.
Creating and reordering collections
In AccelClip you can create new clips collections, reorder, rename, clear and delete existing ones, protect collections with a password, compress collection files, define maximal size for Windows Clipboard collection and more.
